About This Course

In this course you will learn about the Table of specification. A Table of specification (TOS) or test blueprint is an instrument in education that helps lecturers to create quality assessments and align it with intended learning goals. During this course you will learn the benefits of creating a TOS and you will start with constructing one for your own teaching practice. Completing this online course takes approximately 1.5 hours.

Completing this short online course the participants will:

  • be able to explain the importance of a Table of specification for quality assessments.
  • be able to describe how to construct a Table of specification.
  • create a Table of specification for own course.
  • reflect on the impact that creating a TOS can have on the learning process in a course.

Requirements

The target group of this course are primarily lecturers who teach in higher education. There are no pre-requisites to follow this course.
