About This Course

In this course you will learn about the flipped classroom instructional approach. You will find inspiration what for active learning activities you could use in your course and you will get the opportunity to propose a (re-)design for a course in which you teach. It will take you approximately two hours to complete this course.

Completing this short online course the participants will be able to:
• Define the concept of flipped classroom instructional approach and explain its basic principles.
• Design active-learning activities that align with specific learning objectives and engage students in the learning process.
• (Re-)design (part of) the course in which they teach using flipped classroom approach and active-leaning activities
• Reflect on own learning experiences and the impact that flipped classroom approach can have on the learning process in a course

Requirements

The target group of this course are primarily lecturers who teach in higher education.There are no pre-requisites to follow this course.
